The QuadMatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) uses a durable V-belt and centrifugal clutch to ensure a smooth ride regardless of speed and terrain. What´s more the Suzuki advanced engine-braking system helps to minimize freewheel during descents - giving the rider maximum control at all times.

To 1984, Suzuki dominates this class 10 years in a row with Gaston Rahier, Akira Watanabe, Harry Everts, Eric Geboers and Michele Rinaldi. Assembly outside Japan commences for the first time, in Pakistan.
1999
–2000 model years. Ryosaku "Rick" Suzuki, grandson of Michio Suzuki, becomes president of American Suzuki Motor Corp.
