Frequently asked questions

Which motorcycles suit short riders?

Models with a seat below about 760 mm: most scooters, cruisers and low-seat versions of popular models. Enter your height and inseam above — the tool lists the most popular motorcycles in our database that fit you, sorted by how common they are in the Turkish market.

How is seat height measured?

From the ground straight up to the lowest point of the seat, with the motorcycle upright and unloaded. Manufacturers publish this static figure; with a rider on board the suspension settles 20-30 mm, which is why our thresholds already include some allowance.

How do I measure my inseam correctly?

Stand barefoot with your back against a wall, place a book firmly up between your legs like a saddle, and measure from the top edge of the book to the floor. This is the number that decides how your feet reach — two people of the same height can differ by several centimetres.

Do both feet have to touch the ground flat?

No. Confident riders manage fine with the balls of both feet, or one flat foot. Flat-footing both sides is comfort, not a requirement — what matters is holding the bike balanced at stops. Beginners should stay closer to the flat-foot range, experienced riders can go taller.

Is suspension sag taken into account?

Yes. Catalogue seat heights are static, but the bike drops 20-30 mm when you sit on it. Our thresholds include that allowance — which is why a seat a little taller than your inseam can still work.

Can a seat be lowered?

Often, yes: many models offer a factory low seat or lowering kit, seats can be re-foamed thinner, and suspension can be shortened. Suspension lowering changes the geometry and lean-angle clearance, so it should be done properly — the seat options are the safer first step.

What about tall riders — is a low seat a problem?

It can be: a low seat with mid pegs folds tall knees sharply, which hurts on long rides. Riders above ~185 cm should look toward the taller end of their range and check the seat-to-peg distance, not just seat height.
