General features

The 2018 BMW F 700 GS Rallye is built around a dependable 798 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder four-stroke engine. Delivering 75 HP and 77 Nm of torque through a 6-speed transmission, it provides smooth and predictable power delivery across the rev range. Its 860 mm seat height favors medium to taller riders by offering an upright riding posture and an expansive view of the road ahead. With a dry weight of 212 kg and a 1562 mm wheelbase, the chassis maintains reassuring stability at cruising speeds. Road imperfections are absorbed through a 41 mm front telescopic fork and a 19-inch front paired with a 17-inch rear wheel setup. Braking is handled by twin floating front discs and a single rear disc, both supported by standard ABS for reliable stopping power. The 16-litre fuel capacity completes the package, making it equally practical for everyday riding and longer weekend escapes.

The extremely economical, water-cooled two-cylinder in-line engine, with 55 kW (75 hp) and 77 Nm at 5,500 rpm impresses both off-road and in the city. It zips along and is a joy to ride. At the same time, it also fulfils the applicable EU-4 standard.
