Honda introduced the Dio SR (AF25), a higher-specification variant of the AF18. Although assigned a new model designation, the AF25 retained the first-generation Dio chassis while incorporating revised suspension, a front disc brake, an upgraded intake and airbox, and sport-oriented styling.

The Dio model range includes the AF-series 50 cc (3.1 cu in) (SK50), the JF-series 110 cc (6.7 cu in) (NSC110) manufactured in China, and the SCV100 and SCV110 models produced in India.
