MV Agusta F4 RR

The new F4 was introduced. The engine, whilst retaining the bore and stroke and 16 radial valve layout of the previous engines, was extensively redesigned.

. It featured a new short-stroke version of F4 engine, with an output of 201 bhp (150 kW) at 13,400 rpm.

MV introduced a more affordable version of the F4 RR, the F4 R. The "R" was introduced at a cost of €18,500, €4,100 less than the F4 RR.

The F4 received a 195 bhp version of the short-stroke "Corsacorta" engine that had previously been used on the F4 R and F4 RR models. The F4 RR, also known as the F4 RR Corsacorta (short stroke) was first introduced

And manufactured to Superbike World Championship specifications. An updated version of the short-stroke "Corsacorta" engine was fitted.
